Job Description We are looking for a Part-Time Resettlement Caseworker who will will be working with a range of Service Users, helping them to desist from crime and reach their true potential. You will manage a caseload of Service Users and complete ongoing assessments and management of each Service Users risks, needs and capacity, opportunity and motivation to stop offending. As a Resettlement Case Worker , your main accountabilities will include: * Undertaking assessments of remand and sentenced prisoners and working with the prison and other colleagues to address immediate needs. * Conducting assessments of foreign nationality prisoners and working with prison and other relevant colleagues to address immediate and ongoing needs. * Undertaking assessments and producing Resettlement Plans and reviews, engaging with each Service User and taking account of their risks, needs and capacity, opportunity and motivation to stop offending. * Supervising Service Users during their prison sentence and directly delivering interventions that support their rehabilitation and resettlement. * Informing, consulting and involving each Service User in determining rehabilitation plans and activities. * Delivering a group work programme (Getting it Right - GIR) to prisoners. Click here for Job Description Qualifications The day-to-day work as a Resettlement Case Worker engaging offenders will draw upon each of the five key competencies: risk of harm, engagement, diversity, communication and teamwork. Essential criteria * Experience of working with offenders and/or disadvantaged people. * Working knowledge and application of relevant legislation, research and policies around Offender Rehabilitation Act and Offender Management. * An understanding of the importance of risk assessment and management. * Strong commitment to engaging service users and passionate about supporting them to stop offending and transform their lives. * A positive approach and commitment to both team and partnership working. * Must be able to work a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
