Job Description

Royal Hampshire County Hospital Theatres consists of 12 Theatres across 3 departments, and are part of Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust, rated GOOD by the CQC. We cover a range of specialities including General Surgery, Colorectal, Urology, Elective Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology and Breast. An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified senior theatre practitioner to move into the next stage of their perioperative career. This is an opportunity to lead and manage our ophthalmology team, whilst still being able to keep your skills fresh in out of hours emergency work and obstetrics, role modelling high standards of care, excellent leadership and communication skills. The role sits alongside the other speciality team leaders to support the Matron to provide a high quality patient experience whilst optimising theatre capacity and utilisation. The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills required to work alongside clinical colleagues at all levels to help develop this growing speciality service.
