Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust is an Outstanding Provider of mental health services. We are excited to have secured additional funding to enhance our existing crisis services to develop them into a new Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service. Part of this development is to create new Psychological Therapy roles within these teams. These enhanced crisis services will meet the needs of individual's living in Hertfordshire who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The aim is to provide a multidisciplinary approach in understanding their difficulties and formulating and implementing brief interventions to support the crisis to resolve. We now have a vacancy for one 8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist for the North Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service, Saffron Ground, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 3LJ. This would be the successful candidates main base, with some cross site working required. This is an exciting opportunity to develop the psychological assessment, formulation and therapy elements of the service, as well as enhancing the psychological awareness of the team as a whole. Opportunities for clinical supervision and line management are also available within this post if desired. It will suit an HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with around 2 years post qualification experience in mental health. Some experience of working within acute or crisis settings, or specialist services engaging individuals with psychosis or personality disorder would be of benefit. A solid understanding of recovery principles is essential. The role will suit someone who enjoys working flexibly and in collaboration as part of a multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be professionally supervised by an appropriately experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist and will have the opportunity to influence and shape the evolving crisis services. In addition to the basic salary, this post may attract a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of 1,017 and a maximum payment of 1,762 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
