Technical Engineer - New Homes Leeds Region Salary up to £40k pa Company Benefits (Car/Allowance, Pension, Holidays etc) Howells Solutions are looking for a Technical Engineer in conjunction with it's housing developer client based in the Leeds area. The role will be responsible for the management of technical and site infrastructure matters throughout all stages; from planning approval, to construction and final estate adoption/closure. The role holder will be expected to provide best value solutions, coordinate & deliver all engineering and utility design details/information to ensure they meet planning approval needs, building regulations, financial budget and build programme requirements. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for a number of live projects contributing housing numbers set by the company's annual construction target. Key Responsibilities; Coordinate the delivery of technical information for developments inc managing specialist consultants and handling a wide range of technical issues. Assist the Technical team with all Engineering related work and manage drawing issues. Liaise with Local Authorities and Water Authorities in relation to all planning agreements and ensuring that all agreements are in place prior to the start of the site and completed in a timely manner. Check all prepared drawings by Consultants in relation to the civil engineering aspects of the developments. Design smaller developments roads, drainage and external works. Liaise closely with the Construction department to ensure sites are maintenaned in a timely manner and adoptions take place, avoiding over runs. Prepare CDM pre-tender information for the Commercial department. This position would suit a professional who is qualified with a HNC / HND or similar in Engineering and currently working for a PLC house builder or Consultancy who work within the residential sector. To be considered for this position, you must be a highly organised individual with good problem solving abilities and strong communication skills.
