Job Title PEP Analyst Location Glasgow In Glasgow we have multiple opportunities within our Financial Crime Operations PEP/High Risk Hub for experienced Financial Crime Analysts. This team is responsible for undertaking PEP and High Risk customer reviews for multiple business units including RP&S, Business Banking and Barclaycard. Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and High Risk customer reviews are crucial elements of ensuring we can fulfil our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulatory obligations. This role will carry out PEP and High Risk customer reviews on behalf of multiple Business Units, in order to assess the level of Financial Crime risk. What will you be doing? * Gather information about PEP and High Risk customers in accordance with Group policy and regulatory requirements using multiple systems, * Identifying and remediating any gaps in client KYC information and obtaining through customer contact strategy, * Investigate, analyse and recommend whether the customer relationship is within/outside of risk appetite, for MLROs to review and approve, * Complete follow up activities such as Exits, additions to Watch List and raising of SAR's, * Build trusted relationships with Advocacy, Relationship Managers, Market Leaders and MLRO's, * Perform necessary training and keep up to date with any changes to policy in order to effectively carry out duties, * Ensure all activity is delivered in accordance with processes, procedures, and the control framework in place, * Notify to management any opportunities to improve processes, procedures or controls. What we're looking for: * Strong understanding of Financial Crime regulations and policies with the ability to make recommendations for a customer case based on evidence, * Investigation/review experience, * Ability to analyse complex data, * Experience of working in a regulated function such as Financial Crime, CASS, AML, Complaints, Pensions etc. Skills that will help you in the role: * Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to influence others positively, * Good knowledge of operational risk requirements and standards applicable to the relevant processes and procedures, * Ability to work on multiple work types concurrently and have the ability to switch focus based on priority and business needs, * Will have experience of involvement in change initiatives and projects, owning tasks/objectives through to completion.
