Leg Ulcer Nurse

Main Area: Leg Ulcer Service OOHCC South PLACE Grade: Band 5 Hours: Full Time 37.5 Hours 6 month secondment opportunity Base: Whitnash Lodge - Leg Ulcer Service Come and join a Trust rated Outstanding by the CQC. Leg Ulcer Team South is pleased to offer the exciting opportunity of a Band 5, 6 month secondment position. You will be based at Whitnash Lodge working within the Leg Ulcer Team South in various clinic environments and the community, covering areas of South Warwickshire, such as Alcester, Stratford, Warwick and Leamington. We are looking to recruit a competent and well organised clinician, with at least 3 years wound care experience. You will be required to have skills in managing complex leg ulcer patients, hold the V150 Community Nurse prescribing qualification or working towards completion of the course, and be able to demonstrate good leadership skills. The successful candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the specialist holistic assessment required the management of leg ulcer patients. As the post holder, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the service including both GP patients and District Nurse caseloads, whilst providing support to the leg ulcer team. You will also be required to travel dependent on service need, therefore you must be a car driver. South Warwickshire Foundation Trust does operate a Lease Car Scheme. In conjunction with this, you will need to be able to actively deliver educational programmes to aid development and support and provide specialist advice to other healthcare professionals where necessary.
