Job Description
Office location: Eastleigh, close to Southampton, with 3-4 days home-working per week. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Power BI Developer to join a steadily growing organisation within their Data Insights Team. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious individual with some commercial Power BI & SQL experience to take their career to the next level, within an organisation that will continually invest in your professional development. You will support the current Power BI Developer in creating effective reports and dashboards showing real-time information, in order to provide actionable insights. In doing so, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and gather requirements. You will champion the use of Power BI across the wider business, promoting the benefits that utilising their data effectively can bring. Responsibilities: * Support the Power BI Developer in the maintenance and development of Power BI dashboards * Develop your skills with SQL and Power BI, as well as the BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) * Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs & gather requirements * Identify and resolve any reporting or data issues in real-time * Collaborate with the wider Insight Team to translate data into actionable insights * Actively promote the use of Power BI across the business * Undertake additional activities as directed by other members of the Insight Team Requirements: * Strong practical experience with SQL and T-SQL * Practical experience using Power BI in a commercial environment * Knowledge of the Microsoft BI Stack: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS * Strong experience with Excel * Strong communication This is a permanent position paying 25-30,000 depending upon experience.
