Offering comprehensive in-house design, manufacture and installation services; Bridges Electrical Engineers Ltd., is a trusted high performance and multi-disciplined MEICA engineering technology company with an established and long-term client base. Today we work with a broad range of commercial and industrial clients in the water treatment, quarrying, nuclear and waste recycling sectors. THE ROLE We are currently looking for a Graduate Project Engineer to work within our Maidstone office, supporting the Project Managers with the following duties: * Assist with the management of staff and subcontractors working on your projects. * Assist with controlling project expenditure costs to maximise profitability * Attending site meetings and program planning * Updating the Project Manager & Commercial Department with information from the sites * Make decisions both small and large, in such a way that risk is controlled and uncertainty minimised * Minimising impact on & protection of the environment * Assisting Project Engineers and Project Manager in the completion of site installation work ensuring projects are on schedule and within budget, including: * Organising, advising and supervising all personnel working on site and monitor productivity and output to maximise efficiency * Ordering materials on time and within budget * Timely organisation of labour * Producing method statements and risk assessments and ensure compliance by all personnel on site * Ensuring all tools and equipment are on site when required * Attending site meetings and deputise for the Project Manager as appropriate * Recording and reporting additional work on priced jobs for invoicing * Ensuring project documentation is up to date and correct * Ensuring personal health and safety and that of others in your charge and around you and report all accidents, incidents and near misses * Ensuring work is carried out to their specifications Please note that the successful candidate will be required to travel to different project sites.In addition there may be the requirement forinfrequentovernight stays. * Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification * Electrical Installation knowledge (advantageous) * Punctuality and reliability * Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures * Willingness to learn and undertake occupational and Health and Safety training * Numeric and reading skills * Prepared to take responsibility for self and others * Good communication skills * Able to work on own initiative * Ability to give and take instruction * Experience of managing people and projects * Excellent communication skills * Excellent numeracy and written skills * Ability to prioritise workload and manage self and others CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: Monday 2nd March NO AGENCIES PLEASE BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR BRIDGES RoSPA Gold Medal winner, Bridges - is an excellent company to work for and a great place to develop your career.
