Job Description

Programme Support Officer - Tomorrows NUH Permanent opportunity Have you got the energy and passion to help us shape the future of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Programme Support Officer to join our dynamic Tomorrows NUH programme team. The Department of Health & Social Care published the Health Infrastructure Plan (HIP) in September 2019. This will deliver a long-term, rolling programme of investment in health infrastructure, including capital to build new hospitals, modernise our primary care estate, invest in new diagnostics and technology, and help eradicate critical safety issues in the NHS estate. At the centre of the HIP will be a new hospital building programme, to ensure the NHS' hospital estate supports the provision of world-class healthcare services. Under this approach, the Government has committed to build and fund 40 new hospitals over the next 10 years. 6 major projects were given the go-ahead immediately in the first wave (HIP1), with a further 21 schemes in the second wave (HIP2), some involving more than one new hospital, given the green light to go to the next stage of developing their plans. Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is delighted to have been identified as a HIP 2 scheme and is now recruiting experienced individuals to form the team to take forward our exciting reconfiguration programme. This will lead to a series of major business cases enabling us to successfully secure significant capital investment to transform our estate and our services in the future. As Programme Support Officer, the post holder will provide proactive programme administration to the Programme Management Office (PMO). The successful candidate will have substantial administrative experience and expertise in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel to an advanced level. You will have the ability to use your own judgement and initiative, with excellent time management skills. You will also have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, as you will be required to support a variety of projects at any one time. The post holder will be based at City Campus, although cross-site working will be required.
