Job Description

Trapeze Bar is a unique and fun bar and restaurant located in the heart of Shoreditch, East London.The site comprises of a large cocktail bar and restaurant offering Circus entertainment and group fun.Trapeze is a 'celebration' bar, catering to large groups with high weekend turnover. We currently have a vacancy for a Chef de Partie. As a member of a small kitchen brigade, this person must be flexible with working hours and be available to work weekends and evenings. Key responsibilities for the Chef de Partie ; Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes as per specification Managing and training any kitchen assistant or kitchen porter working with you Helping the head chef to develop new dishes and menus Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins Desired attributes for the Chef de Partie include : Great cooking skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Organisational flair A high standard of cleanliness An understanding of profit margin Effective communicator In return we will offer the successful Chef de Partie ; Up to 20,000 p.a. Must be eligible to work in the UK, have a National Insurance Number and Bank Account held in your own name.
