More details on Altius and Avanade can be found on and Job Description This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Azure specialist to help deliver enterprise scale managed services including Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management, Data Science and Big Data. In this key position you will be responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing management of Microsoft Azure cloud-based infrastructure. Responsibilities Include: * Designing, delivering and maintaining Azure environments primarily through infrastructure as code (Azure ARM, Terraform) and scripts (Powershell). * Development of scripts and applications to automate infrastructure tasks and maintenance activities. * Supporting the production platform, providing incident troubleshooting, monitoring, problem solving and resolution at a 2nd and 3rd line level. Covering Azure IAAS and PAAS, Windows/Linux OS environments and SQL Server Administration. * Collaboration with internal and external contacts. Experience Profile: We are looking for the following experience profile: * Deploying, configuring and managing Microsoft Azure environments (other Cloud Platform experience also applicable - Google, AWS). * Automation tooling (VSTS/Azure DevOps, Terraform, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, DSC). * Scripting or programming languages (primarily PowerShell). * Deploying and managing operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Linux. * SQL Server administration experience a bonus, including performance tuning and cloud platform services. * Monitoring of environments to ensure availability and performance level. * Familiarity with network infrastructure concepts and Windows domain infrastructure (AD, DNS, DFS, DHCP etc.). * Proactive delivery of managed support services within an ITIL/ITSM environment. * Exceptional customer facing support and fault resolution skills. * Any relevant MS certification (e.g. AZ-103, AZ-500) is desirable.
