Job Description
Kitchen Assistant - Bupa Care Homes 8.72 per hour excellent benefits Shifts as per rota including weekends, 8.30am to 7pm with breaks, enhanced pay for weekends and public holidays. Training provided. Church Farm Care Home in East Wittering, PO20 8PT About the role In this role, you will be the key link between the main kitchen and the serving of food to our residents You will assist the chefs to plate meals and prepare food trolleys, making sure all preparation areas are kept clean You will keep a close eye on stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures and following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines From time to time, you will assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties. Who we're looking for You will have experience in working in a kitchen and hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Confident, friendly and enthusiastic, you will really enjoy getting to know our residents. What's in it for you? Each resident has a key carer who takes time to get to know them so that together we can establish a personal care plan. This takes into account our residents' background, tastes and interests as well as their care needs. The home in East Wittering is a carefully converted farmhouse that retains many of the original features, including the old fireplace and oak beams. Our beautiful patio and sensory garden are ideal places for our residents to relax and enjoy being out in the fresh air.
