RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE PRACTIONER- children who have been neglected and harmed and have ongoing social, emotional and mental health difficulties related to this trauma (SEMH) ENTRY LEVEL SALARY- £20,000 - £22,000 (includes sleep in bonus circa £3000 per annum ) YOU MUST HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE IN SUPPORTING CHILDREN OR YOUNG PEOPLE! SALARY: £22,000 - £24,500 (for more experiecned candidates) includes sleep in bonus + benefits + funding for QCF Level 3 CYP- THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SALARY OFFER!!! 24 HOUR SHIFTS (includes sleep) -great long shift/extensive time off lifestyle! Homes are in the Bedford area, along with the therapeutic school the company runs. THE ROLE -Act as a mentor or positive, professional parent to offer guidance, support and life skills to children and young people who have attachment and behavioural issues due to their life experiences -Proactively, sensitively and positively engage with young people as part of a team to deliver the very best in care and support for children who have been harmed -Take the children out for sports, outdoor activities, appointments, cinema, shopping, days out! -Be confident and able to challenge behaviours with a consistent and positive approach -Ensure, safety, well being and national standards in a children's home are adhered to -Report effectively and inline with company policy and procedures -Exceed expectations- management pathways available! -Car driver and IT skills essential!
