About you: We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Berkshire Traumatic Stress Service, a specialist service providing psychological care for those experiencing symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). We would also welcome applications from Trainee Clinical/Counselling Psychologists in their final year (employed at band 6 until receiving HCPC registration). You will be providing specialist and expert assessments, formulations and evidence-based treatment for PTSD and C-PTSD. You will be involved in our phase-based treatment programme, providing both individual and group treatment and will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge/skills in other therapy modalities including Compassion Focussed Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy and EMDR. You will also contribute to the supervision and line-management of assistant/graduate psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists, as appropriate. There will be opportunities to contribute to audits and service evaluation, as well as, to the development and provision of training focussed on treating PTSD. Where appropriate, you may also be involved in consultation and liaison to multidisciplinary mental health staff, third-sector agencies and other, non-professional carers. What's next?
