Job Description

The Role The Business Analyst sits within the Willis Re Technology model platform development team. They will play an important role in defining complex requirements related to our catastrophe modelling platforms and processes. They will work closely with product managers, development teams, business stakeholders and users such as catastrophe analysts and actuaries. They will also play an important role in helping to define future requirements as we improve and transform our catastrophe modelling platforms. Responsibilities include - * Work closely with Product Management, Stakeholders and users to understand business requirements and determine functional and non-functional requirements * Elicit and define business requirements within the product backlogs and work closely with the development team to ensure that requirements are understood and developed as needed. * The analysis and improvement of core business processes and procedures. * The development of process documentation for both current and future desired processes * Provide support and assistance for the resolution of issues in UAT and production environments * Data preparation and analysis activities * Support the business with UAT and production releases, ensuring engagement and readiness The Requirements Required: * Educated to degree level, or equivalent (Preference is in a business or systems-related subject) * Highly articulate and able to communicate and influence with confidence and credibility at all levels * Experience of Re/Insurance * Able to collect data, analyse business problems, make recommendations/proposals & resolve complex problems * Experience of working with Agile development teams and associated methodologies e.g. SCRUM * Experience with MS SQL, Excel Preferred: * Knowledge/experience with vendor catastrophe modelling systems RMS RiskLink, AIR Touchstone * Experience of working with Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft TFS etc
