The Opportunity Service Delivery Specialist, Plymouth or Gloucester, Competitive Salary & Benefits We're not your average Energy Company -EDF Group's aim is to be the leading electricity company and global leader for low carbon energy production. We are looking for a Service DeliverySpecialist with cloud (Azure or AWS) experience who will create, implement and act as the bridge between our tech teams and the multiple users of our Cloud Services across the enterprise. EDF is the UK's largest producer of low-carbon electricity, meeting around one-fifth of the country's demand and supplies millions of customers and businesses with electricity and gas. EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C. This will provide low carbon electricity to meet 7% of UK demand. We are also working with our partners to develop two new nuclear power stations in the East of England - Sizewell C and Bradwell B. The company provides gas and electricity to 3 million residential customers and is the largest supplier to British businesses. The Person Operating Environment Operating within a federated IT Operating Model, which consists of Enterprise IT (EIT) and Business Unit IT delivery portfolios, EIT owns, secures, maintains and supports a portfolio of Enterprise IT services and provides functional leadership and support to the Business Units. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of the Service Delivery Strategy for Enterprise ITs (EITs) Cloud Platforms (i.e. AWS And Azure), ensuring sufficient flexibility to adapt to the changing business needs; engage with stakeholders (Business and IT) across Customers, Generation, Nuclear New Build and Corporate & Steering Functions to understand their Cloud Service requirements/use cases and inform the Service Design, Support Model(s) and Service Catalogue. Day to Day: * Develop and implement the Service Strategy, ensuring sufficient flexibility to adapt to the changing business needs; ensure Cloud Services are communicated to stakeholders and consumer communities. * Define and implement Service Management requirements for EIT Cloud Platforms (i.e. AWS and Azure); identify requirements and automation functionality for service management processes such as change and configuration, incident and problem, monitoring and event management, availability and resiliency, and backup and recovery. * Specify cloud services (functions, service levels, management scope), define the high-level specification of the cloud service runtime (Infrastructure as a Service, Containers as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service), define the delivery unit, rating and target price, define self-service delivery and management (self service delivery function, service request fulfilment and management operations to be performed for service instances), security, billing and rating (cloud service rating and charging, and billing) * Develop the 'Use Cases' document describing the cases for the use of the service, and for administrating and managing its provisioning and lifecycle; specify the roles and responsibilities within the service provider(s), consumer or creator. * Develop and maintain EITs Cloud platform (i.e. AWS and Azure) Support Model(s) and Service/Product Catalogue to meet the business requirements; develop new service catalogue items and procedures; agree support levels required from Enterprise IT for new or changed Cloud Services with the Platform Manager(s); ensure contractual arrangements and changes are in place to provide the required level(s) of support; provide SME Service Design input to Cloud Service/Support decisions, reporting on progress and/or risks and issues and manage relationships with business stakeholders and user groups; collating and promoting customer facing documentation and artefacts relating to the services offered across all cloud platforms * Manage the adoption of Agile Service Management across Cloud Platforms, including reporting against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); champion Agile values, designed with "just enough" control and structure to effectively and efficiently deliver services that meet Business Outcomes and align to the overall EIT Agile Service Management Strategy.
