Our Technology team delivers our industry-leading platforms across every aspect of the business - content publishing, customer acquisition, marketing automation, global-scale CRM, and analytics across petabytes of data. You are: An enthusiastic, self-motivated, technically-astute senior engineer, eager to continue developing your technical skill set whilst helping to shape the future and direction of our industry-leading platform in one of our high-performing, autonomous teams. You're passionate about building what's right for the user; you're willing to take ownership of features - and contribute to making them superb. You're keen to use your deep technical ability to develop the architecture and design of our platforms - and (most importantly) you're confident questioning and constructively critiquing the status-quo. You're an accomplished PHP developer, with in-depth commercial engineering experience. You may also have experience of transitioning systems from PHP to Node.js. Node.js is one of our strategic technical frameworks and will be the platform on which we build a significant amount of our new functionality. Your role: You'll bring your technical aptitude and engineering experience to bear on complex customer-facing problems, solving them alongside a team of talented colleagues to rapidly deliver the right solution. You'll have the opportunity to work across any and all of our platforms - we positively encourage our people to move teams and try new things - and you'll work with the team to define and implement the future architecture for our products. As a senior engineer, you can expect to be fully involved in the team from day one, including code reviews and daily standups, and you'll be involved in discussions around delivery, architecture and software design of current and upcoming technical work. You'll be working alongside other senior engineers to deliver highly-performant code, solve in-depth technical challenges and mentor more junior team members.
