Job SummaryAvantor Services provide a broad variety of on-site Laboratory Services for major pharmaceutical customers and work collaboratively with the client to provide resource to deliver core scientific activities. This role is to support the Lighthouse Labs second mega-lab at Alderley Park in Cheshire thousands of patient samples a day are to be tested for coronavirus.The lab is part of what will be the biggest network of diagnostic testing facilities in British history, testing samples from drive-through test sites across the country.The lab will help rapidly increase the country's capacity to test for coronavirus to tens of thousands of samples each day. Scope of the role This role is multi- disciplinary role, and the successful candidate will manage the full team and support the day to day co-ordination of deliveries & sample movement within Consumables Block 21 for the Covid-19 testing labs. The emphasis is to enhance operational effectiveness, providing information from the floor up. Reporting directly into Avantor Off-Site Operations Manager. + Line Management + Management of stock within the forward store, complete system transactions + Manage and carry out stock takes + Managing the flow of stock around difficult pinchpoints + Investigate shortages and request resupply from the warehouse + Fulfil stock requests from Labs + Provide guidance to the Sample Controller + Supervisory role in team and point of escalation + Be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of highly developed interpersonal and communication skills + Excellent administrative and organisational skills + IT skills are essential with experience of booking and scheduling systems preferred + The ability to work co-operatively with other postproduction service providers and specialists Essential Experience + Scientific Operations Background + Working in a dynamic background + GxP - working to the highest standards + Pro-active attitude with good time management + Excellent computer skills, including Excel + Positive outlook + Professional demeanor Key Attributes + Stores/Warehouse and stock management experience + Ensure accurate and efficient data control + Act as a key point of contact for the stock controller and stock handlers + Report on KPIs, metrics, SLAs and weekly tasks + Follow procedures to ensure that incoming materials are of suitable quality and quantity and received to inventory correctly. + Follow SHE and GMP standards and be personably accountable for own actions Offer This opportunity offers you the chance to lead a dynamic COVID-19 response team and our collective efforts to succeed in our fight against COVID-19 pandemic. We are looking for candidates who can start immediately on a temporary 9 month role. The role works in shifts: 4 on 4 off 5am to 4.00pm & 2.30pm to 1.30am. We offer a salary of 22.000 per annum with a 25% shift allowance.
