The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Consulting Services (MACS) team is looking for driven, multi-disciplinary individuals to support the development and delivery of our client's inorganic Corporate Strategies. Specifically, we are looking for candidates with experience in M&A strategy or corporate strategy divisions of leading companies. Our MACS offering combines leading acquisition and divestiture experience with deep industry and functional expertise. Accordingly, in MACS we draw upon and work collaboratively with other parts of Deloitte - from areas as diverse as advisory, operations, technology, risk, corporate finance or tax - in order to deliver an unmatched client service capability. Your advice will help clients position their organisations to succeed in an ever-evolving marketplace. Your role M&A has traditionally been more focused on cost synergies than revenue growth. Companies acquired revenue "to grow" but were often not good at realising revenue synergies. In fact, 73% of acquirers failed to grow revenues post-deal.* M&A has changed. Industry consolidation has slowed and 'small is the new big'. Corporate Venture Capital is driving more deals and scale incumbents are acquiring new sources of growth through disruptive brands or capabilities that are winning with consumers and customers. At Deloitte, we are evolving our M&A capabilities to reflect the changing M&A landscape. Commercial M&A is a new team dedicated to identifying and delivering revenue synergies. Commercial M&A advises clients across the deal lifecycle to identify revenue synergies earlier, enabling more rigorous target selection and valuations, and defining interventions and enablers to minimize commercial risks on day 1 and accelerate the realization of revenue growth post-deal. Commercial M&A practitioners are industry-aligned, becoming trusted advisors to our clients' strategy and commercial leaders. Your role will be lead the Consumer & Industrial Products (C&IP) propositions within Commercial M&A, building a team within MACS and collaborating closely with colleagues in Monitor Deloitte, Analytics & Cognitive and Post-Merger Integration. Commercial M&A is a critical component of the Deloitte's end-to-end M&A capability and you will play a critical role in shaping the development and success of the practice. Responsibilities Working closely with Commercial M&A Leader, provide leadership and direction to Commercial M&A team and related propositions Develop new Commercial M&A propositions and thought leadership that address client needs and builds eminence, pipeline and sales
