Job Posting Title: Vice President, Subscriber Growth - Disney+ EMEA Job Description: Overview of DTC and Disney+ Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company's new Direct to Consumer (DTC) video entertainment service targeted to families and fans of our iconic content and brands. The service consists of long form and short form video built around five key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic), with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms including TVs, mobile devices, and gaming consoles. The DTC EMEA team is responsible for the overall commercial performance and the day-to-day operations of Disney+ across the region. This includes marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships, customer engagement, implementation/localisation of the global content strategy, analytics and research. Overview of the role Within this team, the VP Subscriber Growth role will be responsible for the overall commercial performance of the TWDC's DTC business in EMEA, with immediate focus on the roll out and growth of Disney+. This leadership role will be accountable for subscriber acquisition, subscriber engagement and retention, net subscriber growth and revenue targets. This leadership role will help build the company's capability in all aspects of direct-to-consumer commercial operations and performance to establish a best in class digital commerce function with the business. Specific skills and experience we are looking for include: * Extensive experience in digital commerce, with strong track record in an executive level role delivering substantial commercial targets and budgets * Direct experience of subscriber management and CRM * Proven leadership experience of building, developing and motivating teams * Strategic thinker with strong communication skills * Ideally an extensive knowledge of subscription services within the broader media landscape * Highly analytical mindset and data-driven approach to delivering results * Experience of working across international markets * The right collaborative, influencing and relationship building skills to be effective in a large global matrix organisation Business: Direct-to-Consumer and International Postal Code: W6 9PE Responsibilities: Specifically, this role will be responsible for the following areas: Commercial planning * Lead the annual planning process for Disney+ to develop plans that deliver against the target P&L, and maximise net subscriber growth, working closely with finance, strategy and marketing teams, and establishing best practice planning principles and process * Lead the quarterly planning process, refining phasing of targets and spend to optimise in-quarter performance against subscriber growth, revenue and profit targets DTC subscriber acquisition * Lead the DTC subscriber acquisition strategy and operations for Disney+ across all markets * Manage the overall subscriber acquisition budget, leading the media planning and execution of performance marketing campaigns across different EMEA markets and channels * Deliver subscriber acquisition targets through the most effective channel mix and cost per acquisition (CPA) - optimising across volume and quality of acquired subscribers * Optimise performance through detailed data analysis and implementing an ongoing test and learn programme * Work closely with the global performance marketing team in NYC to optimise performance channels and ensure analytics and campaign tracking are in place Partner commercial performance * Work closely with TWDC affiliate and brand partnership teams to inform new and ongoing partner selection and commercial terms * Work closely with our existing partners to deliver subscriber targets, through integrated campaign planning, optimised customer journeys, and effective execution of redemption-based campaigns for strategic and tactical partnerships and promotions for Disney+ * Manage close relationships across TWDC to deliver partner performance, including the EMEA affiliate team, and the global commerce product & engineering team and Analytics teams in New York Customer engagement and retention * Lead all customer lifecycle engagement strategies and activities, across on-boarding, early life, at risk and winback * Oversee all customer engagement communications across email, push notifications, in-app pop-ups, and user interface tactics * Work closely with the global product team in NYC to develop clear roadmap, engagement 'toolkit', and test programme to optimise customer engagement metrics * Deliver overall
