Job Description

Title: Document Controller Sellafield Ltd awarded a 20-year contract to four organisations in May 2019, which will help deliver the site's decommissioning programme. The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) has been developed to help make the Sellafield site safer, sooner. The new approach will support the transformation of the company from a nuclear operator into a world leader in environmental remediation and is one of the most complex portfolios of construction projects in the world, stretching over many decades. KBR Ltd is playing an integral part in the delivery of PPP acting as the Integration Partner, leading on the delivery & controls of numerous multi-million pound construction projects. Now is your chance to be part of this vital work, a once-in-a-career opportunity, in the role of Document Controller. This role will be based on Site at Sellafield in Cumbria. THE ROLE Reporting to the PPP Document Manager, responsible for establishing and maintaining the Enterprise Document Management system (EDMS) and associated processes. M AIN RESPONSIBILITIES Manages documents (internal & external) Checks compliance and quality of documents Maintains a register & files documents Distributes documents to relevant people Liaises with Client / Contractor / Subcontractor Timely expediting of Project and Programme document control reporting, requirements and procedures Establish and maintain the project and programme document distribution matrices, Templates and implementing approved signatory authority compliance for issued documentation Control documents, e.g. specifications, design & Construction records, standards, procedures, correspondence and supplier documents, etc. Organise Document receipt, registration, copying, distribution, Workflow and transmittal as dictated by the project/programme requirements Document Status report preparation and issue as required EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Experience as a Document Controller in major Design & Construction Projects Proficient user of internet-based Enterprise Document Management Systems, e.g. Aconex Proficient in MS Office tools Previous experience in the nuclear industry is an advantage PERSONAL QUALITIES Planning and Organising Communication Team player Strong customer focus Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 KBR is a global provider of differentiated professional services and technologies across the asset and program lifecycle within the Government Solutions and Energy sectors.
