Job Description
Are you looking for a digital role in an industry that helps millions of people every week? Are you ready to take ownership of our digital strategy and drive us to the next level? We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Editor to mastermind, plan and produce an engaging content strategy for our website and social media channels. Youll be targeting a variety of audiences from our members, to policy makers, the public and even potential new colleagues to get our messages across. This role is for 3 months and we are open to people looking for a fixed term contract or looking to work as a contractor. Our offices are currently closed and you are likely to work from home for the most of, if not the duration of this contract. Your role: * Conduct a review of the ABI digital platforms against market best practise and make recommendations in line with this. * Embed suitable systems and tools (e.g. Hootsuite) to develop a forward thinking and best practise approach to digital communications within the ABI. * Develop a consistent approach across digital and traditional communications to ensure integration and maximum impact and educate ABI colleagues on the best ways to utilise content to achieve this. * Develop the content strategy for the ABI website and social media channels to drive engagement and communicate ABI messages effectively, in line with our communications, events and wider business plan objectives. * Oversee and schedule content across the ABI's social media platforms (These include, but are not limited to, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram) and working with communications colleagues to support the delivery of the ABIs digital campaigns * Take ownership of the ABI digital channels, co-ordinating social media workflows and driving improvement and innovation to engage our current audience and reach new audiences, as well as producing regular analytics * Produce high quality digital content including the production of video and design content for us across social media channels and within the ABI website. * Manage the ABI web content, ensuring that it is accurate, timely, engaging for our audiences, contributes to positive user experiences, and advances organisational strategies. Were looking for: * Experience of delivering complex social media strategies across a variety of platforms * Excellent grasp of social media best practise across ABI primary social media channels, Twitter and LinkedIn, but also understanding of secondary platforms, Instagram and Facebook. * Knowledge of advertising and paid promotions across these platforms would be beneficial. * Excellent digital content creation skills: adept at producing graphics, infographics, idents, along with video production and editing skills and the ability to implement and optimise integrated social media campaigns * Excellent understanding and assessment of analytics to report on campaign performance. * Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills with a talent for turning complex information into simple, web-appropriate, relevant and engaging formats. * Solid experience of content planning and creation and an excellent understanding of SEO.
