Community Support Workers Required. Location Priorities: Felixstowe, Bury St Edmunds and Saxmundham Job Type: Temporary Start Date: ASAP Hours per week: 0-37hrs per week depending on your availability Salary: £9.55ph We are seeking Support Workers to provide extra support and care to Home First's most vulnerable customers over the next few months. Home First are an in-house council service that provides countywide care and reablement support when needed. The main aim is to help people regain and maintain their independence, allowing them to remain living in their own homes for longer. We have positions available across Suffolk for various shifts and hours, to suit your needs. Locations include: Ipswich Waveney/Lowestoft Leiston Bury St Edmunds Stowmarket Please contact us today for more information on these roles. Mileage will be paid As a Support Worker, you will: * Promote the independence of customers in accordance with Home First Care Plans/short term enablement plans. * Assist customers with dignified and intimate personal care needs, whilst actively promoting re-enablement and/or maintain an achieved goal. * Provide general advice and guidance to customers to enable them to make informed choices and to inform and promote their options for personal choice. * Establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with customers and family carers, to promote the health, well-being and independence to the customer. * Engage with customers, family carers and others to promote, inform and explore alternative ways to meet and maintain their long-term needs. * Inform and promote a range of services to help people live independently and safely at home. * Monitor customers progress against Home First care plans and complete records as required to inform the ongoing review process. * Maintain and contribute to accurate and comprehensive records to support the care plan and inform the review process. * Provide regular feedback to team leaders on progress made by each customer and to report their changing needs and circumstances, seeking advice and guidance as required. What you will bring to the role: * Excellent communication skills * A 'can do' attitude * Understanding the diverse range of needs of clients & backgrounds Understanding the diverse range of needs of clients & backgrounds * Ability to remain calm under pressure * A passion for helping people Skills/Qualifications: Must have full UK license and vehicle Ideally on the DBS update service.
