Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Clinical /Counselling Psychologist to a 1.0wte permanent band 7 post within NHS Forth Valley's clinical health psychology service. The post affords an exciting opportunity to contribute to the developing pain and wider clinical health psychology service. Clinical work will mainly comprise the provision of direct evidence-based individual psychological interventions and input to the Pain Management Programme. There will also be the opportunity to contribute clinically within other areas of clinical health psychology. The successful candidate will be a member of the pain multi-disciplinary team alongside other psychology colleagues and will contribute to the wider clinical health psychology service. The post-holder will provide consultancy and where appropriate training for staff. There will be further opportunities for service evaluation and development. Candidates must have a Post Graduate Doctoral level (or equivalent) degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology, and be registered with the HCPC. NHS Forth Valley's Psychological Therapies Service has received considerable recent investment, and currently provides input across adult mental health, older people, children and young people, learning disabilities, clinical health, substance misuse and forensic services. NHS Forth Valley's Psychological Therapies service is committed to staff development; there are a series of reflective practice groups across a range of therapeutic modalities, in addition to several service wide CPD events throughout the year.
