Have you built a small and agile hands-on SRE engineering teams? Do you enjoy working with technical architects, developers and build managers? If so we are looking for someone like you. The UBS GTT (Group Treasury Technology) team is looking for a hands-on Devops Engineering Lead to take the reins of building out our devops capabilities from scratch for our next-generation GTT Platforms. **Your team:** Your team : You'll be working in the Group Treasury IT team based in our London Golden Lane Offices. Our team makes sure that as a business we get the most out of our technology investment by collaborating with colleagues, delivering on projects and outlining the technical roadmap using our combined knowledge. The team is global team working across UK, Switzerland, Poland, India and US. You could be working for one of the top investment banks and a leader in global wealth management you will have huge potential to grow with a dynamic startup like environment; you will have a direct impact in contributing towards our engineering-driven culture You will be hands on reviewing and writing code 80% of the time, and 20% coordinating/leading/mentoring design and build out the DevOps offering across GTT hiring, building, leading and mentoring a devops engineering team own our code management practices as well as the build/release processes. help establish best practices, build/improve common parts of our devops pipelines (across all of our applications), establish a community of practice for devops lead/mentor/code-review less experienced devops personnel across your team and other dev teams build tools and processes for deployment, configuration and monitoring of proprietary cloud platform write code and establish processes to ensure reliable continuous delivery maintain and scale on-prem and cloud infrastructure and help migrate to our Azure based internal cloud monitor the health of systems in facilities around the world evaluate new technologies and continuously raise the bar in terms of code quality, performance, and systems design fostering an engineering culture - a culture of automation, ownership, accountability, measurement, and testing. **Your expertise:** Technical proficient and top-notch in Python development, bash and other scripting skills ideally more than 4 years of experience having end-to-end technical ownership over projects ideally over 5 years hands on experience development, and setting up and managing DevOps environment expertise in configuration tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) expertise in Docker and similar container-based deployment platforms familiar with Prometheaus, Grafana, Sysdig, Elastic, CloudWatch and VictorOps used Relational database knowledge exposure to CloudFormation and Terraform building, testing and deploying on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Engineering build out, Maintain and scale on-prem and cloud infrastructure write custom code in Bash, Python to automate system administration tasks instrument systems to monitor availability, performance, and respond to system issues as necessary code and configure application level alerts build automation CI/CD-Containerize services to work with Docker/Kubernetes develop techniques for effective comparative testing & benchmarking develop an on-call rotation for severe outages deploy and maintain big data clusters build out infrastructure dashboards Leadership experience building and retaining a high end devops engineering team cross team collaboration especially with technical leads and technical architects in other teams lead technical discussions and plans to improve our overall software quality manage senior stakeholders based on measured estimates of project work effort and delivery, and create project roadmaps partner with other technical teams, architects to leverage solutions **About us:** Expert advice.
