We have built a sophisticated cloud mobility platform that pulls in large volumes of real time data from vehicles and leverages advanced data science techniques to power actionable insights and unique services. The opportunity: We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our talented team. You will help to scale and secure the platform as we increase the amount of vehicle data being streamed through AWS Lambda, S3 and Kinesis to our API backend. Working with the team you will build infrastructure as code deployment pipelines to our AWS cloud as well as work towards receiving ISO 27001 certification. Your role: Youll be a confident self-starter and comfortable with a lot of autonomy. You will be working with our data scientists and CTO to secure and deploy platforms capable of ingesting and querying volumes of data that could run into the petabytes. Were looking for an exceptional talent who is motivated by a challenge. If you have a passion for platform architecture, a solid understanding of AWS services and deployment strategies (CloudFormation and for example Terraform), are naturally curious, and have problem solving in your DNA, this could be the role for you. Requirements Who were looking for: * Experience with Infrastructure as Code deployments * Very good understanding of AWS best practices for running services and securing them * Good understanding of GDPR and ISO 27001 and using encryption * Worked with Serverless paradigm and believes it's the future * Great understanding of logging and monitoring tools to keep an eye on the infrastructure (CloudWatch and others) * Ability to deploy and upgrade database systems on EC2 (InfluxDB and other IoT databases are a plus) * Collaborative, willing to constantly learn and an attitude to "leave things better than you found them" Nice to have: * Worked with Kinesis or Kafka * Used Gitlab pipelines before to deploy to AWS * Experience with geospatial, telematics and/or vehicle data is a bonus * Deployed and maintained IoT database systems like InfluxDB Benefits * Be part of a mission-driven, venture-backed startup solving real world problems * Flat hierarchy with autonomy over role and flexible working hours * 25 days holiday a year * Great culture and large growth opportunity If you think you have what it takes then we want to hear from you.
