We are recruiting for a Proposals Engineer to join our team in Grangemouth on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role will be to provide proposals support for the LTMA1 Business in accordance with Doosan Babcock proposal procedures. This post will provide technical evaluation and estimating of process related services and construction proposals including site work and off site fabrication as well as ensuring document quality, consistency, alignment with strategy and win themes and compliance with client requirements and internal governance. The successful candidate will own and develop the logistics of the proposals process and production including document processing, design / graphics, editing, printing and delivery. Key Duties: + Embrace the Doosan Way, (Building Talent / Cultivating People, Openness, Innovation, Execution, Priority Focus), undertaking visible leadership action to embed it as an essential part of proposals support activities. + Provide a technical appraisal and work content evaluations of key tender enquiries relating to plant and equipment repairs/upgrades, pipework installation/fabrication and other site activities in relation to the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other process industry sites. + Work to develop and implement opportunity response plans i.e. activities, deliverables, owners and milestones. Monitors progress and sets up or facilitates meetings, presentations and reviews. + Ensure compliance with the Doosan Babcock Gate processes and procedures throughout all phases of bid development. Assist Proposals Manager with the creation of appropriate gate documentation. + Provide original writing for proposals and sales material as required which support the value proposition message. + Produce technical proposal documents to ensure technical risk is mitigated wherever appropriate. + Draw on first hand personal experiences and liaise with technical experts where necessary to ensure tender documents are sufficiently qualified to protect the company position, both legally and technically. + Promote consistency of documentation and estimating tools whilst developing new systems and practices with other Process and Proposals team members. + Support the site teams and Operations Managers in the timely production of site based proposals and variation opportunities. Applicants should be qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND level in a relevant subject. Ideally you will also have previous proposals experience within one or more of the following areas - Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, Construction, Process Plant.
