The company's products are medical monitoring devices used in remote locations, including: Military, pre-hospital, aircraft/in-flight, yachts, and other. This job, within the technical team, is an engineering role to assist the company in its development of new products as well as working to maintain the design of the existing product line. **You are responsible for:** The candidate will be responsible for supporting investigation activities of issues/bugs (both hardware and software) with returned devices passed to R&D from the QA department and liaising with the key stakeholders to report on the status and findings of the investigation. Once a root cause is identified, the candidate will work with the respective design authority to generate verification and validation activities for corrective and preventative measures with respect to the agreed changes. + Support investigation of product complaints to ensure that complaints are assessed and investigated to root cause within RDT established periods. + Perform preliminary investigation activities for complaints, and ensure reports are provided in a timely manner. + Ensure investigation reports are accurate, clear, and concise. + Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, customer teams/organisations to identify, design and manufacturing opportunities for improvement. + Interact and successfully work with customers to define and resolve complex and non-standard issues. + Work with Senior ME/EE Manager to escalate high priority issues as well as identified business risks to the appropriate management level. + Implement corrective or preventative actions for faults identified. + Analysing logs and trying to recreate the reported issue + Support root cause analysis of issues on returned devices + Writing investigation reports for the quality department with proposed corrective actions where required + Validation and verification of corrective actions **You are a part of:** Philips RDT are a leading innovator of advanced solutions for the pre-hospital market providing monitoring, cardiac therapy and data management. **To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:** + An Electronics degree from an accredited University. + Working knowledge and experience of electronics and systems including software. + Analytical, test and hardware debugging skills + Demonstrable organizational and project management skills + Strong sense of customer focus. + Analytical ability sufficient to evaluate potential root causes at component level of both electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems and software applications. + Effective planning and organisational skills, able to multitask and handle multiple projects. + The ability to work accurately to strict deadlines. + Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences. + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. + Ability to write reports, customer facing correspondence, and procedure manuals. + Effective interpersonal skills with ability to influence others. + Clear communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. + Conscientious approach to work. + Proactive and the ability to take initiative with a 'can do' attitude + **Desirable:** + Experience of investigation techniques + A good eye for detail + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. + Ability to read, analyse and interpret technical and business documents e.g. regulatory documents, technical procedures etc. + Flexible attitude and ability to handle changing priorities. + Team member, willing to act on behalf of team. **In return, we offer you:** The opportunity to be a critical part of the continued growth of our highly visible and successful business.
