Today, 99,000 of us are working to help people live not just longer, but better, in the more than 150 countries we serve. **Description** **12 Month Contract** The Channel Development Manager Infectious Disease UK supervises and coordinates the launch of IDDM Products with focus home-test portfolio into B2B and B2C segments. Ideally the Channel Development Manager based in UK, alternatively the candidate is home-based with a high willingness to travel to the UK. **Position Summary** + Supervise and Coordinate IDDM Products launches + Responsible for the planning and execution of the commercial strategy with a new channel and target segment (B2C & Pharmacies) + Manage and implement a UK centric B2C e-commerce channel as a member of global workgroup + Develop Commercialization plan in collaboration with Marketing Director Europe + Owner of the advertising, promotions, and marketing initiatives to generate awareness, leads and sales in the new segment **Responsibilities** + Develop and update Product Launch and Commercialization Plans + Development of digital and print advertising campaigns: + Develop content with global and regional marketing + Develop target group messaging house in collaboration with internal creative and digital teams + Interface and collaborate with internal (e-commerce teams) as well as external stakeholders (marketing agencies) + Development of advocacy groups and programs + Gain deep understanding of customers' product utilization, needs and insights: + Customer segments mapping (size, patient pathway, reimbursement, stakeholders, value proposition, opportunity assessment) + Product features/benefits, product utilization and customer insights + Competitor intelligence + Market dynamics (growth/decline key drivers, PESTLE analysis) + Market research and ROI analytics, as well as tracking of KPI's and leading business indicators as defined + Work with leadership on the product pricing strategies + Meet with clients to provide marketing or technical advice + Routine 2-way communication with the European- and Global marketing teams **Required Behavioural& Skills** + Acts and behaves ethically and professionally + Proficiency using Microsoft Office pack & other (SharePoint, Salesforce.com, Qlikview, etc.) + Natural inspirational leader who can energize and align a cross-functional team to deliver the business goals + Strong focus in understanding and extracting customer value + Balanced mix of strategic and tactical focus + High level of comfort interpreting and communicating complex technical information, including clinical concepts, statistics and outcomes + Positive mindset and collaborative attitude to bring down barriers for goals + Prioritizing work, making decisions and solving problems **Education & Experience** + BA/BS in Marketing, Business, and/or Biological Science or related field + At least 5 years industry experience with ideally 3 years of experience in related marketing functions + Alternatively, Master or Ph.D. in Biological Science, Medicine or related field. + Ideally, with initial experience in Product Management or Marketing + Leadership experience in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams + Previous B2C marketing experience preferred + Previous e-commerce and marketing in a highly regulated marketplace preferred + Familiarity with diagnostic industry practices and ideally has familiarity with [market(s) relevant to product line] + Experience with various forms of digital media and PR campaigns + Fluency in English, other European languages are an asset An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
