We are looking for a UK Head of FRC Compliance and Operational RiskControl to: Interact daily with the FRC business from global head level downwards Provide support, guidance and challenge to the business on New Business Initiatives, transactional queries and material amendments to controls and process flows Arrange for the provision of suitable training to the FRC business, either face to face or via other mediums such as on-line training Represent at a wide range of business-owned management committees where it is essential that the individual is able to present the C&ORC view and be prepared to challenge as required Regularly communicate with the FRC C&ORC teams in other regions Be involved in regulatory change initiatives that impact the FRC business Provide guidance as required to the Regulatory Liaisons Team when they are managing regulatory inquiries which relate to the FRC business Assess integrity of business functions process to identify operational risk and the adequacy of the functions OR management techniques employed Escalate all high and critical operational risks, and ensuring there is an independent review on both internal and external events Be involved in investigations, whether instigated internally or externally Your team: You'll be working in the UK FRC aligned Compliance and Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) team in London based on the FRC trading floor. You will report directly to the Global Head of Markets CORC who is also based in London. We support the FRC business by partnering with them to effectively manage regulatory risk in an environment of collaboration and constructive challenge. We also provide coverage of aspects of the UK Group Treasury function, which is responsible for the management, control and optimisation of capital, liquidity, funding and intergroup engagements across UBS and its legal entities. The team coverage focuses on Asset and Liability Management, and amongst other things includes the provision of coverage support to the benchmark submissions team. You'll also collaborate with global colleagues to ensure that best practices are being shared around the region/globe. Your expertise: Ideally 8 years of prior experience in a similar role in a global organization Strong knowledge of FRC products front to back, and cross-product support functions, including for example operations. Prior management experience good working knowledge of the local regulatory environment as it pertains to the FRC business strong relationship building, communication and analytical skills and can demonstrate the ability to work effectively with and influence people up, down and across organisation reliable and resilient (challenging situations and conversations don't sway you) *EFCUBSfont> *LI-UBS About us: Expert advice.
