Data and Outcomes Research Lead - Market Access & External Affairs UK/I This individual will report to the Head of HEOR and will have full accountability for delivering organisational requirements (working with matrix teams across the UK&I and WW) to ensure BMS has timely, relevant data to support, maintain and expand reimbursement. To enable this to occur the role holder will need to explore and partner with database/technology owners so that BMS has broad access to multiple data platforms and databases. Purpose Drive Outcomes Research and Real-World Evidence (RWE) gathering initiatives for Value Demonstration to improve patient access and patient outcomes supporting the integrated multi-disciplinary access strategy. Drive data evidence generated and conveyed through digital, advanced analytics in addition to RWE to enhance (or maintain) patient access. The data driven insights and evidence for BMS portfolio will provide solutions and build a platform for: HTA (re)-assessments and patient access negotiations. Multi-stakeholder healthcare partnerships. Cross-functional collaboration and usage of the data (incl. WW HEOR, Medical, WW Regulatory, Commercial). Commercial analysis of patient treatment patterns, to support local access value propositions Responsibilities Idea generating entrepreneur - leads effective idea generation, designing, building and launching innovative data and analytic solutions to enhance access to our medicines. Identify strategies for registries roll out and real-life data gathering initiatives in partnership with key external access stakeholders. Work with commercial team to pro-actively develop and shape new business opportunities through advanced analytical and data driven projects Act as primary owner of customer engagements during proposal stage of business development (proposal writing, early engagement, business building) with ultimate responsibility for project strategy, methodology design & approach, project start-up, and ensuring the project is set up to deliver high levels of quality/added value Embed the use of data and insight for access into the operating culture of the business Integrate and initiates RWE projects from medical and HEOR across full lifecycle of BMS products. Including Registries, Studies enabling Health Economic Analysis/Health Technology Assessments and Value based healthcare initiatives. Identify and address barriers to the delivery of insight aligned to the business units' strategic objectives Meet or exceed assigned new business targets by developing and delivering insightful, value-added solutions that address complex issue that ensure a triple Win for Patients, NHS & BMS Contribute to the enhanced awareness of BMS in the marketplace, e.g. through speaking engagements, client meetings, publications etc. Experience A track record of innovation in the face of challenging environment and entrepreneurial spirit to 'get things done' Demonstrated and significant leadership in the late phase, observational study or RWE space Educated to very high level in relevant fields, such as PhD level in Data sciences, Applied Mathematics, Medical Mathematics Epidemiology or RWE, and degree level in software engineering/programming in order to evaluate the applicability of digital solutions. At least 3 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry specifically Outcomes Research or Health Economics related disciplines. Track record of multi-stakeholder NHS engagement and demonstrated experience in engaging with clients as part of business development - Strong client engagement / consultative skill set through field access Understanding the drivers of commercial success and the interplay between budget holding customers and HCP customers. In-depth knowledge of NHS archetypes and the application of non-trial methods (e.g. health economic and real-world evidence) to support development and market access Track record of delivery in both the academic clinical area - proven and published -and the business area - case studies, in terms of strategy or in influencing decision making Experience working with clinicians, pharmacists and payers on evidence-based customer solutions Leadership skills and problem-solving capability as demonstrated by the ability to evaluate threats and opportunities for payers
