An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Department on the City Campus for a Band 3 Facilities Catering/Cleaning Team Leader; the successful candidate will work closely with the Facilities Assistant Managers for Cleaning and Catering and will be responsible for operational cleaning and catering services across all areas within the trust. The post holder will have responsibilities for delivering the highest standard of facilities services to patients, staff and visitors. The job requires management leadership skills in relation to budgetary and staffing responsibilities and ensuring that the Trust maintains agreed standards through the development of a skilled team of Team Leaders and Facilities staff. You will play a key role in helping to develop the move to a zonal based model for cleaning and catering and other facilities services. You will regularly liaise with Matrons, Divisional Clinical Leads, Departmental Heads, infection control team and other senior managers regarding service performance standards. You will also be responsible for undertaking and reviewing risk assessments and ensuring compliance levels are achieved and managed. You will have an in depth knowledge of the 2007 National Standards for Cleanliness and will be expected to play a key role in the implementation of the revised standards, which are scheduled to be released in later this year. You will play a key role in supporting the Facilities Managers for cleaning and catering in the auditing and monitoring process and ensure auditing and monitoring tasks for cleaning services are regular planned and completed across the site. Develop appropriate action plans and monitor their effectives where required and continually ensure these are on track and delivering service improvements. To succeed in the role you will have a strong set of technical skills and a flexible approach; accompanied by excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to work with varying levels of managers and administrative colleagues.
