The Assistant Practitioner is a new role within Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust so we are looking for enthusiastic, team players who are not scared of a new challenge. This job will be rewarding for an efficient, well motivated and enthusiastic team member. You will join the continence service within the District Nursing/IMT Teams providing a wide range of nursing care and clinical interventions to house bound patients. The role will involve providing a comprehensive and holistic Continence assessments catheterisation and teaching patients and carer's catheter care . You will participate in the delivery of complex care supported by a wide range of clinical competencies. You will work closely with the patient and carers in a community environment, to promote health and self management. The successful candidate must have evidence of consolidated experience of working within a health and Social Care Setting, dealing with members of the public and adults with health needs, being able to undertake a wide range of clinical observations and continence procedures. You must have excellent communication and organizational skills, experience of working within a healthcare setting/NHS along with previous team work and ability to work using their own initiative are essential.
