My client, a leading provider of financial software solutions to the IFA Wealth Management industry seeks a high experienced Senior Operations Engineer due to expansion and continued client driven growth. The Role We are looking for an experienced Engineer with extensive automation experience and a background in technical leadership to join an experienced operations team. The role will involve helping build a new devops function alongside operations engineers, developers and other stakeholders to own issues with and evolve the clients platforms. You will act as the technical authority for all company IT infrastructure with a particular focus on automation of hosting platforms in multiple data centres and cloud locations. This will include technical leadership and the design, delivery and operation of highly available, scalable, secure and resilient enterprise infrastructure solutions using physical and virtualised systems, cloud platforms and integrations with suppliers and customers as required. Skills Required Excellent Powershell scripting. Knowledge of Windows DSC Strong technical leadership. Understanding of how tasks should be automated. Creating and managing documentation. Virtualisation including Hyper-V and SCVMM. Usage of Active Directory. Enterprise server estates including Blade systems and high-density servers. Enterprise networking including Cisco. Amazon Web Services or Azure. Cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS). Working knowledge of at least one configuration management system - eg SCCM, Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
