Job Description
React Developer ,VP Description We are looking for an exceptional technically-focused Vice President to be a lead within the Equity Risk Derived Market Data group in London focusing on the build out of our new Market Data, Parameters and Pricing Platform (Cassini). This role will be based in the Citi London Innovation Lab and is one of the key programs being driven by both Equity Derivatives and Delta One businesses together. It is one of the key growth projects within Equities and Security Services Technology (ESST). This role will provide the ideal candidate a key position in a transformational agenda to replace all of our legacy C# based marking and pricing tools onto a more contemporary stack utilising HTML5 / React front-ends and JVM based micro-services written primarily in Clojure. We are a key part of the global Equity Risk technology team, you will have a technical leadership role in one of the key strategic technical projects within Equities and Security Services Technology (ESST). This is an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to define themselves as a core contributor to the Equities investment strategy and set themselves up for a long and successful career at Citi. The successful candidate will be a driving force behind the build out of the new platform and have responsibilities around migration of existing functionality. The candidate will be required to work with front office sales and trading, quants as well as counterparts in the middle office, managing requirements and work-loads across the relevant clients. Key Responsibilities: Hands on and passionate technical lead who can turn requirements into a detailed design, building consensus within the team and delivering to committed timescales Leadership responsibilities within the team including hiring, mentoring, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence Build and deploy applications on Cloud and Linux platforms Ensure Citi Markets and Security Services Technology Development Standards are being met Drive adoption of recommended common development tools within ESST Data team Qualifications Essential Skills Proficient working with HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript/ClojureScript and Web frameworks such as React or Angular Experience using state management frameworks like Flux, Redux or Reframe and knowledge of CSS or CSS-based frameworks Experience of Relational and NoSQL Data platforms Experience of working in a Front Office environment Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies Proficient in Multi-threading and Parallel task programming. Demonstrable experience of applying TDD and BDD development practices Demonstrable understanding of concurrent and distributed design patterns and system architecture Desirable Skills Experience with Confluence, JIRA, GIT and/or Bitbucket Experience in TeamCity automated build tools Experience with SonarQube Experience of Equity Derivative Products and Market Data Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
