Company Description Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support. We do require our CAREGivers to have transport to enable you to visit clients in locations that are poorly serviced by public transport. Job Description Could you join our team of CAREGivers and be the 'person' who looks after other people's mums and dads, when you join our team you become a very special person. We look for kind, caring, empathetic individuals with a loving heart who want to dedicate their time to support and care for older people. The care we offer includes, Home Help, Companionship, Dementia Care and Personal Care. It is not all about sitting around chatting and having a cup of tea with our clients, though some of it is ! You also have to be prepared to wash, bathe and look after people's personal care too, and that can be daunting if you have never done it before. We offer exceptional Award Winning training and when on our training course you work extremely hard to gain the pass mark, this training is over five days with some extra hours you need to put in to complete the modules. There is more to CAREGiving than most people think, and that is why we take the initial and continuous professional development very seriously. All of our CAREGivers work on a part-time basis and work between 10 - 25 hours weekly. We expect our CAREGivers to be flexible and also to work a mixture of shifts and that includes working some shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on aeltrnate week-ends. Normally our shifts run between 8.00am - 2.00pm and 4.00pm and 10.00pm, we are flexible so these times are not set in stone. Qualifications WE require all of our CAREGivers to have their own transport, this is necessary to enable you to travel between clients, it really cannot be successfully done on public transport. We also require all of our CAREGivers to be flexible in the hours that they will work. Also we do insist that our CAREGivers have clear spoken communication skills because some of our clients have hearing difficulties and with dementia they need to be able to understand instructions.
