This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive and benefits package. Main Responsibilities/Duties Include: The post holder will provide support to the Highway Asset Management Team including the Highway Inspectors in the provision of an effective and efficient administration and processing service. The post holder will support the asset management team through oral and written communication of technical matters to a non-technical audience and collaborate with internal and external service providers to achieve service objectives. They will also contribute ideas for delivery of service improvement and efficiency. * Carry out administrative tasks such as routine correspondence, raising purchase requisitions, processing orders, goods receipting, payments, and invoices * Assist with printing documentation and data input * Carry out administrative tasks to assist Highway Inspectors in works order processing, issuing of notices to utility companies, and updating the highway asset management database. * To provide a welcoming customer service function and maintain a polite and professional manner at all times. * To take ownership of customer enquiries, and to resolve most telephone and other (e.g. electronic) enquiries for Council services with minimal assistance. * To arrange for customers to receive specialist advice if needed, and to contact other ENGIE teams, Council departments and other agencies. * Be able to manage difficult situations and be polite and professional if difficult or potentially abusive situations arise. * To be able to recognise and act sensitively in cases of potential risk or high priority * Process incoming correspondence at all levels and maintain a log of enquiries such as those from formal Councillor Requests, Customer Requests, formal NELC service complaints, highway insurance claims, service requests and Freedom of Information Requests. Track progress and ensure staff respond within prescribed timescales. * Process invoices and monthly accounts, maintain budgetary records and assist in the preparation of monthly and other financial reporting * Interpret information from mapping systems relating to highway land and public rights of way, and use this to process responses to routine property searches for highways and public rights of way, and liaise with the Highway Asset Engineer and Highway Maintenance Technicians to respond to more complex matters. * Obtain records of utility company services within the highway using web-based systems, to support the delivery of highway works * Respond to all customer service requests and update the customer relationship management system in the requisite deadline * To ensure effective and efficient input to recording systems, and assist in the development and promotion of new and existing Information Technology systems. * Collation and processing of relevant data to support performance management reporting * To carry out duties in accordance with ENGIE policies and procedures * Maintain records and electronic filing systems to ensure the integrity of all service-related data and audit trails, and the prompt and accurate retrieval of information * Be prepared to work flexibly to meet business needs * Carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar technical and administrative nature and at a similar level of responsibility to those described, which may be allocated from time to time to meet service delivery needs Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience: * Literacy and Numeracy skills to level 2 (C) * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in business administration or other relevant subject (C) * Experience of office systems, routines and procedures(C/I) * Experience of dealing with members of the public and/or elected members (C/I) * effective oral and written communication skills (C/I) * Competent ICT skills including use of databases and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) (C/I) * Good team worker (C/I) * Customer Focus (C/I) * Ability to mai
