Business Controls and Supervision is looking for a highly energized, dynamic professional who is ready to join a fast-paced, world leader in the financial services industry. The successful candidate will work with a myriad of professionals in Global Markets Business Management, Chief Administrative Officers, Trading and Sales, Compliance, Legal and Operations and Technology. The position will report directly to the Manager in Belfast but will often be working independently and with a remit to cover all regions. Overview: The goal of the MSS Business Controls and Supervision team is to help establish a robust control environment and culture within the business worldwide. Developing a proactive control approach assists management in achieving strategic objectives, promotes efficiency, reduces the risk of loss and helps ensure compliance with corporate polices, procedures, laws and regulations. In addition, properly functioning internal controls enable management to deal with today's rapidly changing environment and prepare for future growth. Key Responsibilities: + Ownership and creation of controls related to voice recording for various voice enabled channels including Zoom roll-out within MSS, including documentation and maintenance of procedure documents. This will involve collaboration with various groups across MSS, O&T, ICG and ICRM. + Perform various voice recording reconciliations including sourcing of data, completion of the reconciliation itself and maintenance of related procedures. This will mainly focus on Peer to Peer channels but will expand to cover additional voice enabled services. + Ensure timely and accurate remediation of voice related issues to support a robust control framework. + Project manage various voice related enhancement initiatives. Working with various stakeholders to ensure deliverables are provided on time. + Identify and escalate risks and issues as appropriate relating to voice and wider communication controls. + Complete a review of voice enabled permitted channels, including assisting with the creation of remediation processes as applicable. + Coordinate and execute other initiatives as determined through BCS, which may include some detailed analysis at times. + Participate in the Working Groups as appropriate as these forums prioritize and define control requirements, to be implemented globally. + Chair and facilitate an end-to-end voice recording process working group and related activities. + Assist with additional activities within BCS as required including internal audit and compliance assurance requests. + Engage global ICRM contacts to ensure completion of annual voice recording requirement reviews. Challenges: Citi's ICG Markets & Securities Services business is a complex business with multiple products and services that span the globe. The environment is fast-paced which requires quick thinking, organizational skills, high energy, and timely turnaround. The areas of data analytics and data distribution are also areas of innovation where there is a lack of defined regulation, policy and precedent. The role requires a significant amount drive and thought leadership in order to generate collaboration and motivate change. Critical Success Factors: After 12 months, the candidate should: + Establish themselves as a recognised voice recording SME across Markets and Securities Services. + Establish a strong working relationship with stakeholders across MSS, ICRM, O&T and ICG, including senior stakeholders. + Ensure control reporting is completed on time and that controls remain effective. + Deliver on key initiatives relating to voice process enhancements and new controls. The candidate will work with and have high visibility with senior managers/staff in business and support functions. Data analytics and data distribution is also an area of emerging regulatory focus. This role is expected to expand in perception and importance as the broader data ecosystem evolves. Qualifications: + Relevant Risk and Control Framework, or Data Reporting /Analytics background is preferred. Skills: + A strong interest in mining various sources of data, and creating useful relevant information for MSS. + Demonstrable ability to manage business stakeholders, including those not reporting into MSS. + An ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative environment. + Strong desktop/PC skills which include working knowledge of MS suite of applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
