Are you an experienced and highly motivated Band 6 or an existing band 7 looking for a new challenge? We have been given Cancer Alliance funding to roll out the Fast track Prostate Cancer (FTPC) service across NWAFT. The NHS Parliamentary award winning service streamlines processes. You will work alongside the Urologists in supporting the men, and families, referred via a two week referral with suspected prostate cancer. We are looking for an experienced registered nurse with the necessary skills to assess patients and manage the clinical environment in collaboration with the Uro Oncology multidisciplinary team and work closely across all sites of Hinchingbrooke, Peterborough and Stamford. You will act as keyworker for inpatient and outpatient Uro Oncology patients. This post will promote the holistic needs of patient care for patients with prostate and other urological cancer ensuring the highest standard of care and support. You will work in conjunction with the existing Uro Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists to provide specialist nursing care, including undertaking independent nurse led clinics, so a desire for further learning is essential. If you believe that you are the person for this role, possess excellent communication skills and have a proactive approach to delivery of high standards of evidence based care.
