Job Description
Occupational Health Specialist Nurse Advisor Northwick Park Hospital Occupational Health & Wellbeing service has an exciting opportunity for an experienced band 6 Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our team. We provide an occupational health services to three acute hospital sites and to community staff within Brent, Ealing, and Harrow. In addition to this we provide occupational health services to external clients. We are a nurse led service, the team comprises of Clinical Nurse Managers, and Specialist OH Nurses and OH clinic nurses supported a part time OH physician. Working with the administration team our main priority is to create a dynamic approach to maximise employee health, wellness at work and productivity. The applicant should hold a specialist qualification degree or diploma in Occupational Health nursing. They will be required to support the delivery of core occupational health services such as management referral, self-referrals, health surveillance, health screening, immunisation programmes, treatment of inoculation injuries, and advising employees/clients regarding work related health issues. The candidate should also have a keen interest in health promotion as the role will also involve supporting the Health and Wellbeing agenda in the Trust promoting various campaigns/activities for staff. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual, who has excellent clinical skills delivered in a highly professional approach. The applicant must have good communication skills as there is a high amount of interaction with individuals via the telephone, face to face, and by email. IT skills and the ability to learn new processes are essential as a large amount of work is carried out via a comprehensive OH software system. Previous experience of using E-Opas would be beneficial. The applicant must have a flexible approach to work, supporting daily clinics as well as carrying out specific non-clinic related duties. Driving between sites and external contracts will be required. As a key member of the team this role provides a unique and exciting opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of a highly professional and customer focused occupational health service.
