Band 6 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST- rotational post 1 WTE Rotational OT band 6 post We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our varied rotational scheme working with the senior therapists to support and manage the services provided. Rotational Posts (Acute Hospital) The 9-monthly rotational post offers rotations across Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals in the following areas, Acute Assessment and Short Stay Assessment Units (AAU/SSU), Acute Medicine/ Surgery including Amputees, Acute Elderly/Rehabilitation, Elderly/ Orthopaedics with General Rehabilitation. This is an exciting rotation where you will gain experience in a variety of different settings and working with a variety of different conditions. These are permanent posts working 37.5 hours a week. Successful candidates for the posts within the acute hospital will need to be part of the 7 day service to provide weekend working. The successful candidates should be enthusiastic and passionate and have the motivation to encourage and facilitate best practice. We are looking for an individual who is an excellent communicator, a good team player and has sound clinical skills. Previous experience of working within an acute hospital and treating patients with complex needs is required. High quality patient care is paramount. You will work closely with other AHP and community teams to facilitate early safe discharges, and link with other inpatient facilities. The Therapy Department holds a high profile within the Trust and you will be encouraged to develop your clinical, teaching and managerial skills according to the area of work setting and within KSF and CPD guidelines. Support and supervision will be provided by experienced occupational therapists. Our multidisciplinary Therapies department is committed to development and offers a large range of in-service and external training to suit individual's needs.
