We have 8 premises, where we perform highly complex procedures as well as routine surgery & medicine. We have exciting opportunities for an E Grade Nurse (Band 5/6 equivalent) to join our Pre-Assessment Unit and work across The London Clinic's main hospital site in Central London, W1G 6BW. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 234 beds and 10 theatres, and The Duchess of Devonshire Wing is our award-winning cancer centre, which includes state-of-the-art radiotherapy, chemotherapy suites and 47 dedicated patient bedrooms for Oncology & Haematology patients. Job Description To be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and service to the patients. This includes the appropriate assessment and evaluation of care in keeping with: The philosophies of the Clinic/Department; The NMC Code of Professional Conduct and the Scope of Professional Practice; The Clinic Policies and Protocols. This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has a competitive inclusive salary range of 34,970 - 39,177 per annum, depending upon experience. We also offer excellent career development; with clear career pathways and access to further education Duties & Responsibilities * To take responsibility for individualised patient care, acting as the named nurse within own team, using the recognised model of nursing. * To ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and be aware of the legal implications of these documents. * To ensure confidentiality of patient or employee records always. * In accordance with the Clinic's Data Protection policies * To promote safe practice and professional conduct. * To encourage good working relationship with the multidisciplinary team, to ensure effective delivery of individualised care and treatment of patients * This job description is intended as a general guide to the post, but it may change in line with the needs of the department or at the request of the line manager. Skills & Experience * Registered Adult Nurse with up to date NMC registration * A minimum of 2 years post registration in an acute surgical setting. * To have knowledge of ENT/ Ophthalmic specialities and general surgery. * To demonstrate high standards of clinical practice in acute and fast-moving surgical environment.
