Role Overview As part of the Social Innovation team, you will work with a pan-European multidisciplinary team of experts from both the business and tech innovation side to further our business activities in AI and other digital, cutting-edge solutions with clients in our core focus areas. The Business Development Manager works collaboratively with diverse Hitachi teams, clients and prospects to understand business needs and to demonstrate how our solutions can support their key business challenges. You will manage or provide support to our clients during the bidding and sales process to ensure delivery of these solutions. Main Tasks & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Works with business development to advance and implement specific account penetration strategies * Be able to present the technical vision and strategy of the solution offering to all levels across the client internally and externally e.g. technical or business leads * Own the delivery of briefings and presentations for solutions and/products for external and internal clients/partners including the production of relevant information/decks * Conducts research; answers questions, and helps to handle objections that arise during the sales process * Working with the development teams to propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of clients * Maintain product/solution expertise of market trends in aligned technology including understanding of our competitors * Anticipates technology and/or market trends and provides guidance and feedback to the business * Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of client requirements, competition and decision-making processes * Successfully builds relationships with business stakeholders, partners and clients in support of sales objectives * Engage in social media/digital marketing awareness efforts around Hitachi Social Innovation Business solutions, product portfolio and thought leadership when required.
