Job Description
Ardingly College are seeking to appoint minibus drivers, from September 2020, to operate two new bus routes. Our drivers are required to drive either a 15/17 seat minibus or people carrier transporting students and staff safely to their destinations. The successful candidates will be required to transport students on a regular bus route either in the morning or evening. An option of working both is also available. Applicants are required to fulfil the following criteria in order to be considered for this position: * hold an endorsement free UK driving license with Category D1 or Category PCV * age restrictions apply due to insurance specifications (please review job description for more details) * be available to work every weekday when the College is in session (normally 165 days per year) * have 2 years driving experience The roles require someone who is able to communicate effectively, and has good time management. They should also be presentable, polite, reliable, and able to work without supervision. Each AM or PM role is 12.5 hours per week, working 2½ hours per day or double if working both. The morning routes require working between 6.00am and 8.30am, Monday to Friday, during term time only (34 weeks per year). The afternoon routes require working between 5.15pm to 7.45pm Monday to Thursday, and 4.15pm to 6.45pm on Fridays, during term time only (34 weeks per year). The salary for each role is £5,309.73 per annum (based on an hourly rate of £11.15). For those interested in both roles, a combined salary would be £10,619.46 per annum.
