Overview
To transport vulnerable Adults and Children: Aiding Children and and Vulnerable Adults to and from school/healthcare appointments and days out, will need a valid DBS Duties and Responsibilities: To carry out daily vehicle checks, replenishing the vehicle with fuel, oil, water and air as required and reporting and defects/accidental damage to the Supervisory staff: were appropriate use correct tachograph disc/digital card, including adjustments to seats according to passenger needs. Assisting clients to and from the vehicle as required/requested To complete daily log sheets, weekly time sheets, incidental/accident reports and any unexpected occurrences such as clients at risk with illnesses, difficulties etc. essential to have a D1 licence. CPC licence is an advantage but not essential Reassure the service user at all times. Assist all clients to their seat and ensure the passenger is secure and comfortable in their seat belt/harness. To participate in all appropriate Council training in all programmes for the disability awareness,safe working procedures, first aid and customer care. To strictly adhere to Health and Safety at Work and procedures as specified by the Council. Including adhering to the Councils smoking policy within buildings and on Councils vehicles. Wearing of protective footwear and uniform at all times. To support the Councils Equal Opportunities policy, particularly with reference to disabled.
