Our Company Our mission is to simplify pharmacy. Echo is an exciting, cutting-edge tech organisation that has created a mobile app that allows people to manage their NHS repeat prescription orders online. Founded by patients, our mission is to simplify pharmacy and in doing so radically improve medical adherence. Now more than ever we have to ensure we deliver on this mission to enable elderly and vulnerable patients to get access to their medication, in a simple, safe and efficient way. Right now, Echo is directly making a significant impact on the fight against Covid-19. To deliver this we have to be agile, creative and challenge the status quo of dispensing. Founded in 2015, were a diverse, inclusive team of over 100 people based in Old Street and West Acton, where we run one of Englands busiest pharmacies. Echo was VC backed, until May 2019, at which point we were acquired by McKesson UK, who we partner with, while remaining fiercely independent. Half of all medicine isnt taken as directed. We spend 17bn on medicine every year, this is a huge drain on NHS resources. Beyond waste, if people dont take their medicine properly they are more likely to get ill. We aim to radically improve medicines adherence by making it easier for people to get, take and manage their meds. About the Role Were seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer be actively involved in the design, installation and growth of new facilities and infrastructure. You will also be focused on working within our busy pharmacy operation to ensure our IT infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently and support our 150+ strong team. You will be responsible for: * Maintaining and running our IT systems efficiently * Achieving high levels of availability and performance * Ensuring the highest levels of security * Minimising the impact of technical issues Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need: * 5+ years experience in IT systems administration * Demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of networks (TCPIP, DHCP, DNS, firewalls, physical cabling etc) * Windows OS builds, configuration, security - Active Directory, Group Policy * Security systems configuration and identification of vulnerabilities - AV, IPS, IDS * Device management platforms * Hardware support and maintenance - workstations, printers, scanners, telephony What Were Looking For From You: * Problem-solve with a can-do attitude * Ability to work under pressure and able to work at pace * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Adaptable - prepared to support all aspects of the business where required * Self-starter, personal responsibility + drive * You are willing to tackle new challenges * You are flexible, adaptable and open-minded * You understand the importance of maintaining business critical systems, maintaining high availability and levels of performance * You have a desire to learn new skills and technology * Strong at Building Effective Relationships * Being ahead of the curve in terms of anticipating future requirements and demand * Recognition of the importance of supporting the business through rapid growth * Attention to detail through maintaining documentation and records Benefits ECHO is an amazing business to work in with a super exciting and executable vision.
