Job Description

Are you interested in working in a recovery focused way with people from 14 -65, experiencing first episode psychosis. A vacancy has arisen for a permanent Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner post within the Early Intervention Team, based in Wirral. We are a dynamic team, working with an interesting client group, where there's an opportunity to significantly impact on an individuals well-being and functioning and long-term clinical outcomes. The post holder will be expected to provide detailed assessments to establish a persons' needs and presentation. The service operates from 9am-5pm, MON-FRI and covers the whole of the Wirral. The successful candidate will be expected to collaboratively plan an individual's care needs and assess risk factors and implement interventions that improve outcomes for the individual and their families. You will be offered a thorough induction period, including shadowing established team members and regular supervision. Excellent communication, report writing and assessment skills are essential for this post. We are looking for a highly skilled and competent practitioner, who is motivated and committed to delivering quality and evidence based care. Applicants should have sound working knowledge of the current spectrum of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the key principles of the Early Intervention in Psychosis model. Applicants should have post registration clinical experience and be able to demonstrate the appropriate skills needed to provide an outstanding service.
