Job Description

This role is to support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer in the delivery of the Financial Crime Compliance Program. The role will focus on providing advice to the Bank's retail operating businesses on all areas of financial crime compliance, and to provide support to embed systems and controls to prevent financial crime. Additionally the role will promote a culture of awareness of financial crime and drive consistent standards across the bank's operating businesses. Key Responsibilities: * Provide risk based and proportionate financial crime advice across the Bank's retail business units on all aspects of financial crime compliance, including anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, anti-facilitation of tax evasion, politically exposed persons, sanctions and adverse media. * Assist the MLRO with oversight of the bank's financial crime compliance program. Hold regular oversight meetings with the Bank's retail businesses to discuss issues and challenges, and help the business to find proportionate and risk based solutions. * Help to develop financial crime policies, standards and procedures, and keep these up to date. * Stay up to date with regulatory developments and industry trends, especially technologically driven financial crime solutions. * Provide guidance to the Compliance Monitoring team on scope and content of financial crime reviews, and be a point of liaison with the business during monitoring reviews as required. * Conduct risk assessments of prospective and existing customers to evaluate the financial crime and reputational risk, and produce written reports; * Assist with the development and delivery of computer-based training modules. * Create and deliver tailored face-to-face training to Bank retail businesses on a targeted, risk-driven basis across subjects such as anti-money laundering, customer due diligence, watchlist match resolution, suspicious activity reporting and adverse media * Support the MLRO with the annual financial crime risk assessment, analysing responses from Bank businesses and holding 'check and challenge' sessions with senior stakeholders. * Assist the MLRO with other financial crime related tasks and projects as required. * As appropriate to the role, ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
