An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Acute Directorate in FVRH for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated registered first level nurse with substantial experience at Band 6, to lead and develop the In patient team in B12, which is currently a general medical ward with respiratory speciality. As the Senior Charge Nurse, you will have 24 hour continuing responsibility for this 32 bedded unit and its' staff. We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record of on-going professional development and the desire to deliver high quality person-centred care. This post would suit someone who works well in a team and who can demonstrate multidisciplinary working. We are looking for someone who can use their skills to lead and manage the team. Innovate, transform and develop the service in collaboration with the wider Respiratory, Nursing and Management team. A willingness to continue to extend knowledge and practice is essential. As part of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment, delivery and supervision of care needs, supporting the clinical care standards, to ensure that Quality Standards are met. The ability to communicate well and show positive leadership qualities is essential as well as being able to demonstrate and a good aptitude for management and a sound knowledge of the application and practice of policy and procedure.
