Job Description

an exciting opportunityto join NHS Tayside Dundee is a busy and developing city. It boasts the V&A, numerous places of historical and cultural interests and is a developing, changing and vibrant city to live and work. The city has a high student population with Dundee and Abertay University central within the city and Dundee and Angus College close by. The City has many wonderful bars and restaurants and beautiful walks, scenery and leisure facilities within easy reach. In tune with our diverse and changing city, Health Visiting is a fast evolving, challenging and creative area to be working within. Population demographics within Dundee varies from families who live in challenging situations who require more support , to transient families who have moved into Dundee from other countries, who may be non English speaking and require interpretation services. However diverse the population is, all families are offered support with health and wellbeing from our Health Visiting Service within the National Health Visiting Pathway. As such, Health Visiting in Dundee, regularly work with a multi-agency approach, seeking the best possible care, protection and support for children, Women and Families within their care. We work within the Scottish Government GIRFEC (Getting It Right for Every Child) model, seeking robust ongoing assessments which are routinely reviewed and assessed. We are seeking a dynamic Health Visitor, who enjoys and embraces the challenge of change, is solution focused and possesses excellent communication skills. The ability to build positive and effective working relationships with your team, partner agencies and clients is essential, engaging in the development of healthy positive working cultures.
